ثمّ خرج البريد من مصر بإحضار الأمير أيتمش البجاسي من دمشق وكان بها من يوم قبض عليه الناصري في واقعة الناصري ومنطاش مع الملك الظاهر برقوق وحُبس بقلعة دمشق إلى أن أُطلق بعد خروج منطاش من دمشق واستمرّ بدمشق لمصالح الملك الظاهر حتّى طُلب في هذا التاريخ وخرج بطلبه الأمير قنق باي الأحمدي رأس نوبة

Orders were then sent by post to Damascus summoning to Cairo amir ʾAytamish al-Bajāsī. ʾAytamish, after he had been captured and imprisoned in the Damascus citadel by al-Nāṣirī in the contest of the latter and Minṭāsh against al-Ẓāhir, and had then been released when Minṭāsh left Damascus, had remained there attending the Sultan’s affairs until this summons was brought to him bu amir Qunuq Bāy al-ʾAḥmadī raʾs nawba.
