ثمّ في خامس عشر رجب اجتمع القضاة والأمير بتخاص الحاجب بالمدرسة الصالحيّة بين القصرين وأُحضر الأمير ألطنبغا دوادار جنتمر وأُوقف تحت الشبّاك عند خيمة الغلمان على الطريق وادُّعي عليه بما اقتضى إراقة دمه وشُهد عليه وضُربت رقبته ثمّ فُعل بالأمير ألطنبغا الحلبي مثله وحُملت رؤوسهما على رمحين ونودي عليهما بشوارع القاهرة

Rajab 15. The judges and amir Batkhāṣ the chamberlain assembled in the madrasa al-Ṣāliḥīya in the street “Between the two palaces”. There amir ʾAlṭunbughā dawādār Jantamur was brought before them and made to stand on the road below the window grill of the Mosque, near the Slaves’ Tent, and charges were brought against him the penaty for which was death. After the evidence against him had been heard, he was executed. The same procedure was followed in the case of amir ʾAlṭunbughā al-Ḥalabī; and the two heads were then carried on lances through the streets of Cairo, while a herald proclaimed the cause of their punishment.
