On Thursday the 5th amir Taghrī Birdī al-Qillāwī al-Ẓāhirī Jaqmaq was appointed as wazīr in addition to what he held of the kashf of al-ʾUshmūnayn and of the Gizah region, replacing ṣāḥib ʾAmīn al-Dīn ʾIbrāhīm b. al-Hayṣam, because of his exemption of the wazirate.
The sultan granted the Taghrī Birdī mentioned an amirate of 100 -which was held by maqām al-Fakhrī ʿUthmān, the son of the august maqām- for with this he had to seek to cover the expenses of the rule. The khilʿa of this Taghrī Birmish for the wazirate was of double satin with wavy lines, on top of it a fuqānī with gold brocade. This was the khilʿa of the ʾatābak.
Zayn al-Dīn Faraj b. Mājid b. al-Naḥḥāl, the kātib mamālīk sulṭānīya, was bestowed the function of naẓar dawla, in addition to what he held of the kitābat mamālīk. This position had been vacant since ... the ṣāḥib ʾAmīn al-Dīn mentioned.
