824 AH, 10/01:
Thereupon amir Ṭaṭar proposed again to amir Tanbak Miyiq to speak and said to him: You are are our ʾaghā and older than us in age and power and it is most fitting that you be the leader of the government and we shall obey you and carry out your orders and whatever you decree. But amir Tanbak Miyiq very vehemently refused again to speak and to be the leader and indicated to amir Ṭaṭar that he should be the leader of the government and carry on its affairs and that he would obey him. The amirs who were present approved this words and Ṭaṭar held back a little until the amirs urged it upon him and the leaders of the Muʾayyadīya spoke to him and said him to accept. Thereupon he accepted and assumed the leadership of the government, the army petitions were read and the documents validated. Then the usual banquet took place. When the meal was over a beautiful khilʿa was brought for Ṭaṭar. He put it on and was appointed as guardian of sultan al-Malik al-Muẓaffar, and guardian and leader of the government. Then another khilʿa was brought for amir Tanbak Miyiq, which he put on. This was a khilʿat al-riḍā and al-ʾistimrār for his former status. The khidma ended after that the amirs had brought the sultan back to the sultan’s palaces and he was brought back to his mother in the sultan’s harem.
