Summary
After 26/11/789
Some days after his return (from the hunt in Giza), a messenger of amir Tamurbughā al-ʾAfḍalī al-ʾAshrafī, known as Minṭāsh governor of Malaṭyā, arrived and informed that he did not betrayed but stayed under the sultan’s obedience. (...) Then a courier arrived from Aleppo, following him, and informed the sultan that Minṭāsh did rebel, and sent the message that he was obedient, just to protect himself until the end of the winter, the beginnig of the spring and the melting of snow. Then, the sultan sent al-Sayfī Maliktamur al-Dawādār with 10 000 dinars for the amirs who had been sent to Syria before (al-ʾumarāʾ al-mujarridīn), and he secretly ordered to him to investigate Minṭāsh’s news, and the truth about that affair.
