Ḥusayn ibn al-Kūrānī wālī of Cairo decides to hide because the power of Yalbughā al-Nāṣirī is ebbing.
Minṭāsh appoints Nāṣir al-Dīn Muḥammad ibn Laylā to replace him, and he orders to him to collect arrows, and then, to do a “proclamation of public security and tranquillity (al-ʾamān wa al-ʾiṭmān) announcing the abolition of taxes, and ordering prayers to be said for the victory of Great Amir Minṭāsh.”
