The eleventh of the eleven niyābas of the mamlaka of Aleppo, which are inside the Syrian borders, belonging to the military wālīs al-ʾumūr. It used to be an amir of ten, independently appointed by the nāʾib of Aleppo. But when the ʿurbān took hold of it after the clash between Minṭāsh and an-Nāṣirī, it was fixed for a muqaddam, appointed by the sultanic gates with a marsūm sharīf.
