The first of the eight niyābas of the mamlaka of Aleppo, which are in the Bilād al-Thughūr wa l-ʿAwāṣim, outside the Syrian borders, belonging to the military wālīs al-ʾumūr. Its nāʾib is an amir of forty. Its appointment comes from the sultanic gate.
