The second of the three niyābas of the mamlaka of Aleppo, which are in the Bilād al-Jazīra, east of the Eufrates, outside the Syrian borders, belonging to the military wālīs al-ʾumūr. Its nāʾib is an amir of 40, its appointment comes from the sultanic gates with a marsūm sharīf.
