الخامس - نائب القدس الشريف. وهو ممن استحدثت نيابته في الدولة الأشرفية " شعبان بن حسين " في سنة سبع وسبعين وسبعمائه، وكانت قبل ذلك ولاية وهو طبلخانه، وربما أضيف إليه نظر الحرمين: حرم القدس، وحرم الخليل عليه السلام. ورسم المكاتبة إليه " صدرت هذه المكاتبة إلى المجلس العالي " والعلامة " والده " وتعريفه " النائب بالقدس الشريف " .
Summary
Nāʾib al-Quds ash-sharīf : one of the nāʾibs in the mamlaka of Damascus, who is corresponded with from the sultanic gate : newly created in the reign of al-ʾAshraf Shaʿbān b. Ḥusayn in the year 777. Before that, it was a wilāya. Sometimes, the control over the two ḥarams (al-Quds and al-Ḥalīl) is added to it. formulaʾs.
