As for the ʾatābak al-ʿasākir al-manṣūra, he is the ʾamīr kabīr, and he is also called Baklarbakī. Egypt has not been devoid from him. He used to have great importance. It was said that the amir Yalbugha l-Khāṣṣakī was ʾatābak in Egypt, and in his service there were three thousand five hundred mamlūks. At that time, al-Malik al-Zāhir Barqūq was still unimportant, and he belonged to their group.
