وأما العسكر الذي خرج من مصر فإنه لما وصل إلى غزة أحش الأمير جاركس الخليلي بمخامرة نائبها الأمير آقبغا الصفوي فقبض عليه وبعثه إلى الكرك وأقر في نيابة غزة الأمير حسام الدين بن باكيش.

When the army which had gone from Egypt arrived at Gaza, amir Jārkas al-Khalīlī perceived that its governor, amir ʾᾹqbughā al-Ṣafawī, had turned traitor. He therefore arrested him and sent him to al-Karak, appointing in his place as governor of Gaza amir Ḥusām al-Dīn ibn Bākīsh
