Every amir of the amirs of hundred and of forty is a sultan in a concise form in most of his circumstances. Everyone of them has service-houses like the service-house of the sulṭān, including the ṭasht khānah, the firāsh khānah, the rikāb khānah, the zard khānah, the kitchen, the tablakhānah, the ḥawāʾish khānah, the granaries, like the horsestables, provided by the sultan.
Every ʾamīr in these service-houses has authority over a mihtār, who assumes the management over his storehouse. He supervises slaves, each with there specific use. Each one of them has warehouses, like horsestables, camel stations and granaries.
Among his soldiers, he has an ʾustādār, a raʾs nawba, a dawādār, an ʾamīr majlis, a jamdārīya, an ʾamīr ʾākhūr, an ʾustādār al-ṣuḥba and a mushrif.
