وفي حادي عشرينه ورد الخبر على منطاش بوصول نائب غزة حسام الدين بن باكيش، وصحبته الأمير قطلوبك النظامي نائب صفد المقدم ذكره، والأمير محمد ابن بيدمر أتابك دمشق، وخمسة وثلاثون أميراً من أمراء دمشق، وجمع كبير من الأجناد هزموا الجميع من الملك الظاهر برقوق، وقدموا إلى القاهرة وهم الذين قاتلوا برقوقاً مع جنتمر نائب الشام، وقد تقدم ذكر الواقعة فرسم منطاش بدخولهم القاهرة.

Reports concerning al-malik al-Ẓāhir continued to be brought to Cairo without interruption, until on the 21st Minṭāsh received the announcement of the arrival of Ibn Bākīsh, accompanied by amirs Quṭlūbak al-Niẓāmī, governor of Ṣafad (mentioned above), Muḥammad ibn Baydamur, ʾatābak of Damascus, and thirty-five other amirs of Damascus, as well as a large number of troopers, all of whom had been put to flight by al-malik al-Ẓāhir when, as has been narrated, they had fought against him under Jantamur, governor of Damascus. On their arrival Minṭāsh ordered that they enter the city.
