They sat for a long time with (Yilbāy). The amirs kissed the ground before the mubāyaʿa. They were restlessly waiting for the caliph and the qadis to arrive, until these finally arrived, having had a lot of difficulty (to enter) due to the difficulty of the road to the Qaṣr, as they had come by way of the ʾĪwān Sulṭānī.
Also, by the time that the amirs had donned the qumāsh al-mawkib and had all arrived, it was already after the end of the day.
They then started the bayʿa, enthroning him to the sultanate. They put the khilʿat al-salṭana on him in the Qaṣr, and he took his seat onto the takht al-mulk, without having ridden a horse with the ʾubahha al-mulk, as was the custom. The amirs kissed the ground before him, and his assumption of the sultanate was complete.
He took his seat upon the kursīy al-mulk 3 degrees before sunset, as was already mentioned.
