Tukā soot at Buṭā from the Drummery.
The ẓāhirīya plunder the house of Quṭlūbughā, and take the madrasa al-ʾashrafīya, from where they shoot on the Drummery.
Tukā flees then from the Drummery that the ẓāhirīya take.
The ẓāhirīya then force the Turkumān who guard the madrasa of sultan Ḥasan to ask for a truce, provoking the flight of those who were shooting from the top of the Gate of the Stairway (Bāb al-mudarraj).
Then the ẓāhirīya and the yalbughāwīya plunder the houses of the amirs.

Details:
When Tukā saw this [that his followers retreated to the madrasa of sultan Ḥasan], he went to the Drummery and shot at Buṭā and his followers with arrows and naphta machines. A detachment of the ẓāhirīya then went down to the house of Quṭlūbughā, took possession of it, and made an opening by which they ascended to the roof of the madrasa al-ʾashrafīya in the Ramp, facing the sultan’s drummery. From there they shot upon Tukā’s allies in the Drummery, and the latter fled, leaving the Drummery to fall into the hands of the ẓāhirī party. The ẓāhirīya next laid siege to those who were in the sultan Ḥasan Mosque, a detachment of Turkumāns whom Minṭāsh had armed to guard it. So hot was the fire poured upon the Turkumāns from the naphta machines that they cried out asking for a truce, and thereupon those who were shooting from the top of the Gate of the Stairway, one of the citadel gates, also fled. The ẓāhirīya and yalbughāwīya then proceeded to the houses of the amirs and plundered them.
The city itself, however, while all this was happening and despite the absence of anyone to guard it was in safety.
