Al-Nāṣirī’s followers continue to desert to Minṭāsh.
Al-Nāṣirī sends the caliph al-Mutawakkil ʿalā Allāh to Minṭāsh “to sue for peace (al-ṣulḥ) and cessation of the strife (al-fitna)”.
Minṭāsh claims his loyalty to the sultan, and his brotherhood to the amirs, but he refuses the peace with Al-Nāṣirī.
As reasons for his revolt, he puts forward that Al-Nāṣirī has not kept his word (he has not shared the power with Mintash, did not give the authority to the sultan, sent him to fight the Arabs, and gave him a little 600,000 dh/year fief, and favored the Yalbughāwīya at the expense of ʾAshrafīya)
Minṭāsh affirms his wish to kill Al-Nāṣirī or to be killed by him
