Report on the rebellion of the mamlūks of the sultan and their conflict with the ʾamīr Sayf ad-Dīn Qawṣūn (rabīʿ al-ʾākhir 742)
The mamlūks of the sultan were a small group of about five hundred horsemen. So they fled, every division (firqa) in a direction.
