ثم في يوم الإثنين العشرين من صفر جلس السلطان بالإيوان من القلعة المعروف بدار العدل، وأخلع على الأمير سودون الفخري الشيخوني، بنيابة السلطنة بالديار المصرية على عادته أولاً، وعلى الأمير إينال اليوسفي اليلبغاوي باستقراره أتابك العساكر بالديار المصرية، وعلى الأمير الكبير يلبغا الناصري صاحب الوقعة باستقراره أمير سلاح، وعلى الأمير ألطنبغا الجرباني باستقراره رأس نوبة الأمراء وأطابكا، وعلى الأمير كمشبغا الأشرفي الخاصكي باستقراره أمير مجلس، وعلى الأمير بطا الطولوتمري الظاهري باستقراره دواداراً كبيراً - وهو الذي كان خرج من حبس القلعة وملك باب السلسلة في فتنة الملك الظاهر- وعلى الأمير طوغان العمري باستقراره أمير جاندار، وعلى سودون النظامي باستقراره نائب قلعة الجبل؛ ونزل الجميع بالخلع وتحتهم الخيول بالسروج الذهب والكنابيش الزركش إلى دورهم، بعد أن خرجت الناس للفرجة عليهم، فكان يوماً من الأيام المشهودة.

Monday, Ṣafar 20. The Sultan sat in the Portico Hall (al-ʾīwān) known as the Palace of Justice (Dār al-ʿadl) in the Citadel, and invested the following amirs: Sūdūn al-Fakhrī al-Shaykhūnī, to continue as viceroy of Egypt; ʾĪnāl al-Yūsufī, to be ʾatābak al-ʿasākir of Egypt; Great Amir Yalbughā al-Nāṣirī, leader of the revolt (ṣāḥib al-waqaʿa), to be amir of arms; ʾAlṭunbughā al-Jūbānī, to be head of the corps of amirs (raʾs nawbat al-ʾumarāʾ) and ʾaṭābak; Kumushbughā al-ʾAshrafī al-Khāṣṣakī, to be amir of the council; Buṭā al-Ṭūlūtamurī al-Ẓāhirī, who had escaped from the citadel prison and gained possession of the Gate of the Chain during al-Ẓāhir’s absence, to be dawādār kabīr; Ṭūghān al-ʿUmarī to be amir of the armor bearers; and Sūdūn al-Niẓāmī, to be governor of the citadel. All these appointees then descended from the citadel to their homes wearing their robes of honor and mounted on horses with gold saddles and brocaded saddlecloths; the population had gone to view the procession, and the day was one of those memorable for the vast throngs which gathered.
