المؤيدية فى الباطن مع الاشرفية الكبار و الاشرفية الصغار كل ذلك و الامراء خفى على الناس الا
السلطان فانه يعلم بامره بل هو المدبر لهم فيما يفعلونه فى الباطن حسبما ياتى ذكره من الوقعة و هى
الواقعة التى خلع فيها الملك الظاهر يلباى من السلطنة

The new month began, starting with a Sunday. Talk was common among the people that the julbān would revolt, but nobody knew whether this was true or not. Yet, the Muʾayyadīya amirs, khushdāsh of the sultan, refrained these days from ascending to the sultan’s khidma, out of fear that amir Khayrbak, the dawādār thānī, and his khushdāsh, the julbān, might seize them at the Qaṣr Sulṭānī. The Muʾayyadīya had secretly made an agreement with the ʾAshrafīya kibār and the ʾAshrafīya ṣighār.
This matter was unknown to the people. The sultan, however, knew about it. Even more, he had secretly planned (mudabbir) for them what they should do, as will be discussed in connection to the (coming) conflict, the incident in which al-Malik al-Ẓāhir Yilbāy was deposed from the sultanate.
