Beginning of the year: List with the most important mansabs of that year.
The year started, and the sultan of Egypt , Syria and the Hijaz was al-Malik al-Muʾayyad ʾAbu l-Naṣr Shaykh al-Maḥmūdī al-Ẓāhirī.
The caliph was al-Muʿtaḍid bi-llāh Abu l-Fatḥ Dāwud. The ʾatābak al-ʿasākir was amir ʾAlṭunbughā al-Qurmushī and theʾamir ʾākhūr kabīr was Tanibak Miyiq and the raʾs nawbat al-nuwab was amir Birdibāk. The dawādār kabīr was amir Jaqmaq and the ḥājib al-ḥujjāb amir Sūdun Qarāṣaqal. The quḍāt al-quḍāt were the same as last year, except for the qāḍī al-quḍāt al-ḥanbalī, who was qāḍī al-quḍāṭʿAlāʾ al-Dīn ʿAlī b. Maḥmūd b. ʾAbī Bakr b. Mughallī al-Ḥamawī. The mubāshirūn al-dawla were also the same as last year, except for the office of wazīr, which was vacant. The nāʾib of Alexandria was amir ʾAqbirdī al-Minqār, and the nāʾib of Ghazza was amir Mushtarak. The nāʾib of Ṣafad was amir Khalīl al-Jashārī and the nāʾib of Damascus was amir ʾAlṭunbughā al-ʿUthmānī. The nāʾib of Tripoli was amir Yashbak, the nāʾib of Hama was amir Jarquṭlū and the nāʾib of Aleppo was amir ʾAqbāy.
