He is like one of the small ḥājibs. He has to embellish the army during their review. The naqībs walk with him. When the sultan, or the nāʾib or the ḥājib summon an amir for some reason, they say to him : send for him and bring him. And if they are ordered to appoint one of them, they order it to him and he executes it. He belongs to those who are called to [guard] the treasury (khizāna) during the mawkib and during travels.
