Amir Qurqumās is arrested but he asks an ʾamān from judge Zayn al-Dīn ʿAbd al-Bāsiṭ and al-Nāṣirī Muḥammad b. Jakmak, which he receives. When he’s brought before the sultan, he throws himself several times on the ground. The people were amused by his situation.
(It was said that he was sent to the sulṭān. He asked him for protection.
He (Qurqumās) said: “sayyidī Muḥammad b. al-sulṭān would come as well as Zayd al-Dīn ʿAbd al-Bāṣiṭ. I will go with both of them to the sulṭān”.
The sulṭān sent both of them to him. They went with him to the sulṭān.
He was tied up and kept in al-Buḥayra in al-ḥawsh.)
